Experts said former copper and silver mines in the Southwest United States provide perfect sites for solar-energy projects as the tailings do not provide good wildlife habitat and infrastructure such as roads and power lines are already in place. Federal Agencies Enter an Agreement Regarding Transmission Siting on Federal Lands. A critical agreement has be signed by nine federal offices that seeks to cut approval time off the normal Federal permit process and help break down the barriers to siting new transmission lines. Public scoping for BLM Oklahoma-Kansas-Texas RMP Revision. The BLM has selected EMPSi to provide public outreach and participation services for revising this tri-state resource management plan.
Public scoping for Scoping for Oil and Gas Leasing and Development EIS on Public Lands in California, and possible Plan Amendments. The BLM has selected EMPSi to provide public outreach and participation services for an EIS that will analyze the effects of hydraulic fracturing on public lands in areas of California.
EMPSi awarded $60M IDIQ contract. EMPSi has been awarded a $60 million IDIQ contract with the US Bureau of Reclamation. Work under the contract includes environmental compliance and management, hydrology, ecosystem management, biological and cultural resources, climate change, and other services.
US Bureau of Reclamation selects EMPSi for Pojoaque water project. Under the $4.28 million contract EMPSi will prepare environmental compliance documents for the Pojoaque Basin Regional Water System near Santa Fe, NM. Read more.
